Visit Guelph is making our community glow a little brighter this winter. Bundle up, grab your mask, and head outdoors to discover these safe and festive experiences around Guelph this winter

Drive-thru Delights 

Sparkles in the Park is back …with a twist. Enjoy the festive light show from the warmth and safety of your car as you drive through the display in Riverside Park nightly from December 19 to 31.  While you are driving through be sure to wave to Santa at Sparkles in the Park nightly from 6 – 8 p.m., December 19 to 23.

Don’t forget the Frozen II Light display at 20 Fox Run Dr. nightly from 6-8 p.m. from December 18 – 26.

Physically Distanced Displays

Market Square will be Sparkle Square this winter! Check out the new light installation and Muskoka chairs in Market Square creating a ski resort essence to downtown Guelph.  Be sure to watch Guelph.ca for announcements on when the skating rink opens and ongoing season announcements.

Guelph Farmers’ Market is converting their window on Gordon St into a picture-perfect postcard backdrop reminding you to Shop Local this season. Don’t forget the Guelph Farmers’ Market is open Saturdays from 7a.m. to 12 p.m. for you to grab your fresh, local goodies. Note the Market will be closed December 26 – January 2, reopening on January 9th at 7a.m.

#GLOWguelph at the Covered Bridge is the perfect setting for your socially-distanced Hallmark movie moment this holiday season. The bridge lights up every night from dusk to 11pm.

The Riverside Park Skate Trail will showcase Winter Woodland Theatre displays created by Guelph’s local theatre groups – RCMPI, The Downtown Theatre Project, and Guelph Little Theatre.  The displays will be ready to view in February and The trail is weather dependent, so watch guelph.ca for opening day and ongoing seasonal information.

River Run Centre grand window will feature festive trees during December and January. As well, the historic stone façade wall in John Galt Park will be illuminated nightly creating a unique winter experience.

The Exhibition Park Neighbourhood Group has expanded their annual Window Advent Event into Downtown Guelph. As you walk the neighbourhood take delight in seeing the community light up the season.

These light displays are free to our community and are meant to be experience in a safe, physically distance way.
